Hi

We are arriving 27 August even though we will be subject to quarantine on arrival back in the UK !

Just wondering if mask wearing is compulsory when walking out of town , say up the coast road to Moravit.

I fully understand that it will be in the town and promenade etc, where it is busy  .

And in general, are most bars / restaurants open bewteen the town  and Moravit.

Thanks

100% essential everywhere I'm afraid. The police won't or can't draw an imaginary line between built up areas and countryside. It's a pain but thems the rules!

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

Yes,fully understandable but I wondered if we could keep 1.5m apart, it wasn't compulsory - just walking up the coast road in tbe evening etc

Some people in the UK are still not wearing masks in shops  - frightening and irresponsible  !

If you are walking up the coast road you risk a fine even if self distancing I'm afraid. The police are unlikely to warn you, more likely to fine you.

Ref your comments about the UK, I see people flouting the rules here in Spain too.

It's only advice and as long as you stick to the local rules then in my own humble opinion everything should be okay. It's not for anyone to contradict either way. We all have a choice.

Frontline staff at the NHS did and still do a wonderful job and we are all eternally grateful. The same should be said for all the retail staff who had to work under the pandemic conditions serving people on the floor and at tills.

I'm out myself on the 27th and will be wearing a mask as I should along with carrying hand sanitizer at all times. It's just becoming the norm now.  I just truly hope that next year things will be a lot different.

Good luck and stay safe.

I am an NHS Nurse and have worked all through lockdown! I have just returned from Moraira after a much needed break and it was wonderful. I am now in quarantine and working from home - but it was worth it.

It is very hot wearing a mask and a bit inconvenient, but has to be done. 😊

There is probably more danger to me and others by me taking a weekend in Manchester or Oldham than there is a couple of weeks in Moraira. There is no FCO guidance advising me against that. It is all about being careful and exercising common sense to protect everybody.
