April 25 is a blue day, but there’s nothing on the calendar for red or blue days on April 29

Can’t see any reason why the shops wouldn’t be open on that Friday before unless you have a fiesta specific to your municipality on that day.

Shops won’t be open on May 1, because Sunday trading doesn’t begin until mid June.

I have lived in Spain for almost 17 years and have never heard of a blue day.   What is it exactly?

National Holidays are marked on calendars in red

Regional/Local Holidays are marked in blue.

Hence the Red Days and Blue Days terminology.

Not forgetting  a Bridge Day between 2  holidays

I have lived in Spain for over 40 years, Madrid, Barcelona, Baleares, etc. and I had never heard of a red day until I came to live in Santa Pola, it's what in the UK would be called bank holiday or national holiday, ie "fiesta nacional".

Blue day is new to me as of today! Local holiday, provincial holiday or autonomous community holiday.

Certainly spaniards do not call them red days and blue days.

However I never new a flat roof was called a solarium until I came to live here, in other parts of Spain it's used for drying washing and called the "terrado" roof terrace.

And as for upstairs and downstairs bungalows, also town house bungalows???

Mind boggles, estate agents have a lot to answer for.
