Hi

We are eventually wanting to move to Moriara and want to apply for our NIE number. We have got the Spanish website for the forms but of course it is in Spanish. Have found a website to translate but do we fill the forms in Spanish also where do we take them. Any more info would be gratefully received.

If you are already inMoraira would suggest that it would be much much easier for you to employ a ‘gestor’ to sort everything out.

Or there are online firms who will do it all for you, in English!, nieonline.com I think. We used them from Uk and it was efficient and easy.

Be far better to get your solicitor to do it for you.

I would not do anything from the uk,you’ll end up having to go to a notary in uk,and they’re not cheap believe me.

Ours was perfectly reasonable, about 100 or so for both of us, and that was in a ludicrously overpriced area

No you don’t. That is the whole point of the online outfit, they do it all. We applied, completed their paperwork, saw notary, implemented their instructions, nothing difficult,  just how notary was to send paperwork to Foreign Office. Then sat back and waited . Notification arrived, emailed copy on request, original held by them till requested by Spanish lawyer, then sent to solicitor by registered mail. No problem to us !!!

Sorry don’t quite understand what you mean . We found it perfectly efficient, reasonable, saved hassle of trekking to Spanish Embassy, didn’t have to do much other than visit notary? How is this s problem or ripoff ?
