Moraira is a lovely place.  However gettng about in summer is a nightmare and traffic and beaches/parking very busy with the exact opposie in winter.  Its very very quiet.  Javea is not so quiet in winter as its much bigger but again can be a tad too busy in summer.  Why not consider a wee bit further in land in Jalon Valley which is just as nice and you can dip in and out of Moraira/Javea within 15 minutes without having to endure the potential traffic issues and where you get more for your money.

We've lived here for 4 years and never had a problem with parking, ecen in height of summer.  You can always get parking on the Beach Car Park even when its Market Day.

Winter isnt as quite as you might think.  Its still quite buzzy with coffee shops/restaurants open and great for walks along tbe beach, with or without dogs.

Each to their own,  was there yesterday and could count on one hand the number of people around.  It is a lovely place, we think its very south of france like and go at every opportunity.  We absolutely love driving along that coast road but I still maintain its dead in winter.

Hi we live in benissa Costa 5 km from Moraira. I guess it's how you define quiet. Many people live here all year round and there are lots of tourists who come to stay long term over the winter period and we definitely don't find Moraira quiet in winter but obviously a lot quieter than summer but there are always plenty of shops bars and restaurants open. Some businesses take the opportunity to close for a a month or so in winter but not all at the same time. There are also many voluntary and social groups which you can choose to get involved with. If you are not sure maybe you could visit Moraira Javea and other towns to get an idea before you buy although we regularly visit them all as they all have their own vibe.

The Iceland is so expensive in Moraira, its considerably more for some staple items compared to the Icelands in Torrevieja area.  Roberts bread, its €2.73 compared to €3.19 in Moraira.  No thanks!

Dozes

I've heard lots of pros and cons about choosing between one area or another but picking because if the price difference of Roberts bread in Iceland stores is a first for me.

Aitch.

Well who wants to hear the same boring obvious stuff like its dead in winter and hell in summer.  Not to mention the slow twisty hilly roads everywhere...everything squashed in.....houses on cliffs ready to collapse, all that stuff is boring and generic and obvious to anyone with eyes.  The bread situation, now thats somethign that could really catch you out until its too late and youve got your keys!
