I’ve stayed in Moraira several times in recent years, and in a few weeks I’m being joined by a friend who requires a gluten free diet. She has asked me to check out grocery outlets, and bakers, where there is a range of such foods.

I’m familiar with the location of the supermarkets in the vicinity, and would appreciate any advice on preferred restaurants who can provide such meals

I aren’t gluten intolerant myself so fortunately I’ve never had to consider this condition.

Thanks in advance

There are also quite a few ‘specialised’ wholefood/health food shops in various areas, there’s a large one on the Ondara trading estate. However, I think it unlikely that you will find restaurants able/willing to cater to this - the most they are likely to have is gluten free frozen bread which is normally not brilliant.

I sympathise as we have friends coming who, due to severe illness, are both gluten and dairy free. It’s a question of choosing carefully on the menu and querying from the staff if you need more detail. Also I doubt that any of the kitchens would be able to guarantee no cross-contamination of product/foodstuff.
