Hi all,

I have only been living here for 7 months and only registered a couple of weeks ago with the Clinic in Muro. I was given an appointment immediately for my Covid jab and turned up the following day to be told they did not have enough and my appointment was cancelled. I was told to wait for a phone call but over a week later nothing. I am 60 years old so not wanting to push the clinic but wanted to see if anyone else had similar experience and could advise me how long I should wait before chasing them up I would be grateful. They were really nice so do not want to hassle them as I said I had only just registered with them

Thank you for reading, I am new here so be gentle 😎👍

Hi PJC,

Is your healthcare provided by an S1, or with private health insurance?

There's been a delay for our age group, 60 to 64, whose first dose was the AZ vaccine, but you may see from other threads that 64 and 63 year olds are starting to get their second jabs this week.

I'm also 60 and although I haven't received my second appointment yet, it's due on 19 July.  As it's been over a week since your first appointment was cancelled, I don't think it's unreasonable for you to pop back to your medical centre this week and ask again.

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Peter,

I agree with Kim that it should be fine for you to contact them again. According to this link they've finished inviting the 50-59 age group for vaccinations so you should be pretty high priority: http://coronavirus.san.gva.es/es/web/vacunacion/vacunas-por-grupos-de-edad. That said, my wife and I (54 and 53) got our temporary SIP 7 weeks ago and haven't received appointments yet. :-)

Cheers, Mike

Thanks Mike,

I spoke to them and all they could tell me was I am still booked in for my 2nd jab on the 8th July?

I will go and try and get at least 1 jab, then I will try and get another date later!

Regards Peter
