Hi , My husband and i are thinking of moving from Murcia to Muro for a slightly cooler climate , we are interested in a property, but wanted to know if there are other expats in the area as we would like to get involved and make new friends . My husband would like to go fishing and i would like to meet new friend s go walking or volunteer. Look froward to replies, thank you.

Hi there

My name is Pam and my partners name is John and we live approx 15 mins from Muro a little place called Gaianes beautiful part of the country. Many expats here and more moving into the area. Many things to do here especially if interested in nature, walking and fishing large lake nearby for fishing. The Albufera is a nature reserve so plenty to see. Many Castles in the area. Don't be fooled into thinking it is cooler here last summer hit 42deg and a pool is a necessity not a luxury.

Cosentaina and Alcoy just a short distance away for all the major shops but Muro does have two supper markets and two pharmacists a medical center also two garden centers.

I hope this helps you somewhat also the people here are fantastic even if not a spanish speaker.

Kind regards

Pam
