€5,000

We sold our villa to downsize and put our furniture in storage. In the meantime my husband has been diagnosed with advanced cancer. We need to sell everything most of the furniture is like new.

I would like to know how do I sell it all.

Also my beloved car must go. It's a Citroen C5 3 litre V6 think it's 22 years old immaculate milage around 60,000 will be sold separately

Sorry to hear about your husband.

You could send an e mail to Lumsden auction see if they would collect it and auction it, maybe outwith their area but they might be able to advise of an auction house a bit closer to you, as for the car put full details & photos on here when your ready to sell, sure it will go.

We took things into  Oumsdens.

Never again.

Three electric kitchen items worth €150.

The pod coffee machine was only used twice.

We ended up with €20 after they had taken their commission

The staff are quite rude, and off hand too.

Try New2you.

You'll get a fair price there.

I've never had a problem with the staff and you need to say if you want to put a reserve price on things then if they don't reach the price you can pick items up and sell elsewhere. The commission price they charge is roughly equivalent to UK auction houses.
I did hear a big argument between someone who had bought a set of golf clubs and then found out it wasn't a FULL set but Lumsden's were, quite rightly, not having any of it.

Do a google search for "Second hand furniture stores near Muxtamel" Quite a few came up.

I'm very sorry to hear of your husband's illness.

Think your last comment was for the OP whose husband is sadly very poorly.

Re Lumsdens.

First assistant grudgingly told she would take the items, but they weren't actually open tomtake stuff in

I told her their website said they were.

She said they were in the process of updating it?

Second bad tempered assistant growled at us,saying if any of the items didn't work,we would be fined.

Charming folk.....not!

Hi, I am sorry to hear of the upheaval you are experiencing. I would be interested in the details of your car when you are ready to sell. I am.looking for an estate car. I hope you don't mind my asking. You can send a PM if you wish. Best regards...

Incase you aren’t familiar with NEW2You, it’s based in Mar AZUL.

I’m sorry to hear about your husband. Please tell him to stay positive. Cancer treatment in today’s world has improved dramatically. Immunotherapy is having amazing results.  it’s the terrible shock which comes with the diagnosis but once he’s in the system and receiving all the care required, you’ll both start to learn to live with it. Trust in God… that’s what I did and I’m fine.
May I wish you both all the very best.
