Hi

We live in Busot which is 10 minutes from Mutxamel.

Mutxamel itself a busy lively town with quite a few shops and lots of cafes and bars. It close to San Juan and El Campello. It's about 15-20 minutes from the sea, and close to the wonderful countryside. The Moors and Christian fiesta which is in September is a very big event.

I don't know if attracts tourists? it doesn't seem very touristy, it seems more like a small town and doesn't have a holiday feel. There is a very different feel in El Campello as opposed to Muxtamel. El Campello feels very much like a holiday town, with lots of tourists and visitors.

10 minutes away from Mutxamel is Bonalba (still classed as Mutxamel) where there is a golf course which could attract visitors.

Hope this helps a little,

Goodluck

Regards

John Archer

Hi

I would say everything that John said, and as well as El Campello coast there is a fabulous beach in San Juan , with nice bars and cafes dotted along the promenade.  There is coastal tram that goes from Alicante to Denia which stops at all the towns along the coast inbetween - San Juan, El Campello, villa Joyosa, Finestrat, Benidorm, Altea, Calpe, Javea Denia and possibly more.  It is very inexpensive and a scenic route.
We live in Valle de Sol, Monnegre which is about 10 minutes inland behind Mutxamel in the hills.  There is a small aerodrome with a cafe where you can watch the small aircrafts and helicopters taking off and landing and I believe you can book lessons / courses with European Flyers.
We see daily lots of serious bicycle riders - the roads around us are excellent fir this pass time/ hobby/ skill. Also there are very nice places to walk in the hills and mountains.  So as well as golfers you could attract cyclists and ramblers and maybe peole wishing to do a flying course at the aerodrome. Cyclists in particular are often in groups of 5/6. Alicante is 20 minutes in the car from Mutxamel , you can spend a lovely day there with its parks, castle, marina nightlife and shopping.
Good luck with your venture

For properties suitable for your venture, you would be looking on the outskirts of Mutxamel, Busot, Valle del sol etc. There property tends to be in larger plots which would be more suitable. Mutxamel town itself is more residential than tourist. You would also lean more to advertising the surrounding districts, as said previously. The beaches of El Campello and San Juan. The mountain walks and cyclists. 25 minutes (roughly) drive to Benidorm, so within reach but able to come away from the bustle. There are good tram links from Campello to cover most of the area. I rent an apartment in Campello and one of our renters took the tram and train everywhere, including Valencia.

Good luck in your venture.
