Renting a property in Almoines at the moment and looking to buy a property around the area. Just wondered where th ed best place to meet like minded people. Also any keep for classes about. Look forward to any suggestions.

Hi Kathy

There are lots of Brits in the area, although of course many things are currently suspended due to Covid-19. Check out the local U3A website: https://u3aoliva.org/. Normally we have zumba gold classes on a Friday morning in Oliva but the 'in-person' classes are on hold for now due to the pandemic. However our lovely instructor has been proving live online classes through zoom once or twice a week. In addition, U3A and several other organisations also offer walking groups which are a great way to meet friends, stay fit and get to know this gorgeous part of Spain.

There is also Gandia Social Club, which in normal times organises various different events, and if judging by your profile picture you love animals, I would suggest volunteering for one of them as it is a great way to do something good and make likeminded friends. PEPA has a couple of charity shops, one in Oliva and one in Font Del Carros, and a facebook page. There is also SPAMA Safor which is based in Gandia, and several other others in the area.
