Hello, I am looking to buy a townhouse near the church in Bellreguard. Are there any expats in the town at all or can you tell me anything about the town? Is it friendly?

Thank you

I'm in Palmera which is the next village. I like Bellreguard, not sure there's many expats there, many more in Oliva or Gandia but both are very close.

Thank you, we are just finalising the purchase, it seems a very quiet town but that’s fine as the location is just lovely.

Do you know what the criteria is to use the municipal swimming pools in the towns?

Thanks again, Jan

I'm not sure but I believe you can either buy a season ticket or payg. I had a pool at my rental and was at the beach so it's my first year using the pool too.

Thank you Glenn, we finalised the purchase at the end of August, we still live and work in UK and come over whenever we can, roll on retirement! (A few years to go yet though)

I moved to Beniarjo from the UK at the end of May and finished my residency paperwork last Thursday. I love it here, the ex pats keep a bit of a low profile, the locals are friendly and it's a brilliant place to live. I cycle to the beach in 20 minutes, cost of living is very cheap and there's everything you need within a few minutes drive. Gandia is a really nice town, don't miss the Gandia Fiesta at the end of September and you can take a clean modern train to Valencia in just under an hour, the Nord station's 10 minute's walk from El Corte Ingles department store.

Brilliant

Fantastic, thank you. We have since bought our little house in Bellreguard just by the church and met some of the locals, they are so friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful find the area is, we always went to Calpe, I have emotional ties there but felt it had become just too busy, but it’s only 30 mins drive away, perfect

Hi, we too hoping to buy in Bellreguard. We will be there from Sunday, we could have coffee if you're around
