Registration as a family member of an EU citizen.....has anyone done it? How? I can't find where I apply online. I've been told appointments are in Valencia? Can anyone shed any light?

Do you hold a UK passport or an EU passport?

What relationship are you to the person?

The answer to that will make a difference to the answers to your questions.

Hi, Steve, think we've sorted it. Appointment in Valencia next week. I've a UK passport, my wife is German.

Hi, Alan, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately, we aren't sorted completely. The police in Gandia gave us the address in Valencia, which turned out to not be where we needed to be. They had also said that I (UK) should apply first, which didn't seem to be correct either. At this point, we gave up and are using a solicitor. My wife's (EU citizen) application is being sorted. We hope!?

It's really frustrating because we've done most of the work, preparing the documents but the killer (we found) is finding where to make the application and then getting one as there never seem to be any available. Sorry I can't be more helpful.....I can let you have the contact information for our solicitor (in Gandia) if that would help you-?

Hi again, Alan- do let me know how you get on. We think my wife will have her appointment with the police in Gandia this week (that's what the solicitor said), so I'll post an update if it happens.

Are you using a solicitor/gestor whatever? Or have you managed to crack this yourselves?

That's seriously cheap! We have someone in Gandia, but are paying a lot more......
