Garages and other butane gas distributers have had no supplies for nearly a week. Does anyone know what the problem is and when supplies will become available again?

Hi Chris. Same problem for me. I tried the co-op near the Galp garage yesterday. He suggested that it was possible 'manana'. Manana has come and gone, as it does, and still no gas.

I suspect the problem is that the interior is getting first dibs on what supplies there are owing to last weeks weather, but that doesn't make it any warmer here at night. Bedroom temp last night was 9C. I am strictly rationing what's left in my last bottle. Thank god I can get out on the terrace for a few hours during the day now.

As to when the situation will improve... Manana?

Maybe if you have a car you could drive a round your local villages in the hope of finding some.   No good to you but I saw a huge lorry coming from the motorway at torrevieja  loaded up with full bottles.

Good luck, try and keep warm!

Thank you Karen. Looks like the situation has improved. The co-op has gas today, but there's understandably a large queue, so don't know how long it will last.

Hi folks,Had similar problems finding butano last week but resolved it by going to Repsol Depot in Gandia before 900am.They Have large deliveries every night but prioritise garage orders every morning but keep 140 bottles back for sale to members of public on first come basis.Hope this helps,

Thanks for the info Smithces. The situation has eased somewhat with daily deliveries at the co-op, but they still sell out before lunchtime. I have enough to last at least 3 weeks, especially with the weather warming up (yay!), by which time hopefully, the backlog will have cleared.
