Hi

As winter is coming we want to get our house cosy for the cold nights.

We have a an old traditional style house and would like to fit a pellet burner but are looking for one that looks like an old style wood burner rather than the modern ones that are popular here. I have found lots of ones I like online in the US but the only one available here seems to be the Bronpi Nicol which isn't powerful enough. (Plus it still isn't that attractive).  Has anyone seen any here and if so please could you send me the brand and name.

Also, has anyone had first hand experience with hybrid stoves that burn pellets or wood? If so how do you rate them and do you mainly use pellets or wood?

Many thanks

Good evening ,

We have been looking for a fire as we have recently moved to Oliva We have discovered 2 shops locally One on the main 322 just as you get to Bellaregard and the other much bigger showroom with every type of fire in is just as you go into Gandia again on the 322 called  Chimeneas elite or something similar to that opposite Leeroy Merlin ,Both of these were recommended to me by this forum when I asked the question in August

Thanks for taking the time to respond Robin. Unfortunately most of the pellet burners available here are large modern lumps are not in keeping with our old traditional townhouse, and neither of those shops had anything we liked.  Thankfully the Chimerea shop in Beniganim has been great and is ordering one for us.  If you haven't bought yours yet I would recommend you visit him. He has been super helpful and very quick to respond to questions and to come out to check that the pellet burner we have ordered is suitable for our house and will fit.

He stocks several different brands and his prices are much more competitive than the large one near Leroy Merlin too.

Note however the shop is only open for a few hours a day, I think from 4.30 - 8.30pm as he is out fitting fires during the day.

Also, be warned they are all getting pretty busy so you need to source one soon if you need it for the chilly nights that will be soon with us.

Hi James, you have added your question as a comment on a post I made back in 2019. I'm not sure if this will limit the amount of replies you get. If you don't get any responses you might want to re post your question as a new thread/question.  (I'm afraid I can't help  you as I'm not in your area but hopefully you will find someone who is).
