I have heard that online ordering is much less advanced as a means of buying goods when in Spain. There are several items I need for my house including mattresses and furniture. Can this be done from England?

I know Oliva has one or two shops selling home items, but they seem very expensive!

Hi Scyld,

I've regularly ordered from Amazon.es, M&S, Next, QVC, Radley, L. K. Bennett and loads more.  The only issues I've ever had were when the retailer used Seur couriers as the delivery service at the Spanish end, but M&S has switched courier companies now.

One thing I would suggest, though, is to check websites for deliveries during lockdown.  Yesterday, Next announced that they were suspending their home delivery service during the Covid-19 crisis, in response to concerns expressed by their staff.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim,

That’s useful info about M&S changing couriers. I have not ordered from them before, but agree with you that SEUR can be troublesome. I am in need of clothes so could possibly order some if M&S are still able to supply. (My diet is working, so I need smaller sizes) 🤗

My wife had 50 square metres (nearly 2 tonnes) of "glitter tiles" delivered from the UK today.

I won't be allowed into the bathroom soon !

The service from SEUR must vary between areas.

I love having my deliveries with SEUR,  they send me an email the day/evening  before and they always deliver  between 1300 and 1500 and the delivery man knows that I have to run from the house to the gate so he makes sure I have enough time to get there.

Parcels are usually delivered a day or two before the specified date but because they send me an email it works fine for me.

Regards

Vivienne
