Are there many English people staying in onil and are there many places to eat and drink
Onil is lovely. There are lots of bars, shops and restaurants. It's a really clean and safe town. There's everything you need for everyday living and there are good transport links to Alicante and Madrid. There are ex-pats living there, but it's still a pretty and traditional inland town. It is busy all year round and not over run with tourists in the summer. If you're thinking of visiting it, I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised.
