Hi everyone...When can self employed builders go back to work as I’ve seen commercial builders going back to work today...Many thanks...Graham.

Graham, Commercial Builders have been allowed back to work, as you state, but instructed to maintain Social Distancing !!!!!

Not too sure how that is being observed tbh.

In the case of smaller builders, I.e. Self employed (Autonomo), Their work often entails travelling to Customers premises ,and usually their homes and I am also unsure how Social Distancing can be observed in such instances,

Others may have views on this.

I receive a business briefing once a week. Tradesmen can return to work from the 14 April

If:
They are able to work on a building site
Private dwellings in an emergency or if the work is required to make the house habitable
Private dwellings where the owners are not present
Pool cleaners can carry out weekly maintenance, cleaning and garden tidy

Precautions should be taken to avoid contact with the public. Suppliers may not be open to the public but able to take orders for materials and deliver on-site for the trade.

You should carry proof of self-employment. Modelo 036 or certificate IAE and proof of your last autónomo payment. Letter stating the nature of the work.

If stopped Be aware the police may raise question about the work.
