Hi,

I am moving to the area in August and will be bringing my puppy, he will be 7 months old by then. I have a few questions I'm hoping I can get help with:

a. where is the nearest vets and what are the approximate costs for things like worming, flea treatment etc?

b. can you recommend places where we can take him off the lead?

c. any advice on dealing with heat etc., he has got used to a northern England climate!

Thanks in advance,

Terry8

There are many vets in that area and they will advise you on necessary jabs etc. Prices are lower than U.K. As in most countries dogs should be on the lead but there are areas of common ground where you will be able to run the dog, also certain beach areas off season or very early am in hot weather.hth

We buy Broadline from our vet and apply it monthly to protect against worms, ticks and fleas, at about €8 a time.

An annual jab against heartworm, leukaemia etc is less than €50.

As regards heat, a Spanish friend of ours has three cocker spaniels, and some time ago he bought a hair trimmer, and has recently given them a good trim. They seem much more active without the long shaggy coats.

Hi, we have just moved to the area and are wondering if the (uk) flea/tick and worm treatment we currently give our  dog is adequate for spain or should we be giving him Spanish meds? Also, can you recommend a good vets, maybe one you have used yourself ? Thank you.
