I went to my surgery to get my prescription renewed but it was only open for emergency appointments, the reception was able to extend it at the start of the shutdown. I think if you have your old prescription the pharmacy may be able to do the same now without going to the medical centres.

I've not yet established whether prescriptions are automatically extended for two months, or whether you have to ring your health centre to do this. I suggest you ask at your chemist when you next go there.

You won't need a new prescription, as the chemists are now dispensing medication on production of only a SIP card.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

They charged me the full cost of €15 for 4 items. I only have holiday home here but flights have been cancelled. Hopefully won't need to go again
