Hi, looking to purchase UK Standard 60w Bayonet light bulbs here in Spain together with 10mm entry Table Lamp Bulb Holders.

Has anybody purchased these here, I am aware Amazon and eBay Uk list them but do not deliver Bulbs to Spain.

Has anybody purchased these items here and where.Or holding stock they wish to sell.

Hello

As you say they are UK standard lamps, the light bulbs here are screw in bulbs

. When I working in a charity shop here for many years, if a lamp was donated with a UK bulb -- no one wanted to buy them because it was too much trouble to get bulbs

Cheers

Spain

You should be able to find a bayonet to screw converter easily enough on Ebay or Amazon, maybe in a China market in Spain.  IKEA in the UK certainly has them.

I still have a UK lamp that I like and I buy bayonets for it when in the UK or ask friends/relatives to bring one or two down for me. I don't think you can source bayonet fitting bulbs locally here.

Why not just change the fitting, a 5 minute job. Then use LED bulbs and save yourself some money. 🤔

Appreciate this is not a complicated thing to do....for those that feel capable or inclined to have a go; however it might be beyond what some are prepared to tackle and in some cases downright dangerous. LED bulbs are not confined to SES/ES fittings,

LED SBC/BC (bayonet) bulbs are available from Amazon.es.

Regards.

I think (hope) kenneth1 meant fitting a bayonet / screw converter, not re-wiring the fitting. Amazon / Ebay should deliver these to Spain - I can well understand why they won't ship bulbs.

Incandescant light bulbs are being phased out in the UK so will become more difficult to source.

On a number of occasions I have bought BC lamps (as per UK) on the Sunday market, El Zoco,  near the Quesada Arches.

It is the English stall in the far corner.

The likelihood of buying BC lamps in Spain is pretty remote.  It's not like the UK where we sell both BC and ES of all shapes and sizes.

Be aware that halogen bulbs of any sort are to be banned.  So it's time to get some stock in NOW.

I fail to see what the slightest difference this will make to the overall scheme of things when there are far more important things to concern ourselves with.  It's just tinkering round the edges. Yet more control and cancellation.  UGH!!

Halogen and traditional hot filament bulbs that need changing frequently are far more expensive in the long run than LED bulbs at current prices. They use less than one fifth of the electricity and hardly ever need changing.
