Hi, we live on a gated urbanisation and our communal pool is closed due to Covid. Does anybody know what the official rules are for communal pools during covid.

Thanks

Hello

The latest "official" rules at my urbanisation are now almost a year old & several blew down in the wind & rain recently. Our administrators said .... If there are any new up to date  rules ( after May 9th & end of state of alarm) she will make new notices.

Not very helpful I'm afraid but speak to your administrators as all urbanisations are different

Cheers

Hi our pool is open and we have the sanitiser to use with the showers before going in the pool.

There is a restriction on number of people in the area at one time but no other restrictions.

Thanks Gilly and everyone for replies. We will see if things change after May 9th, if not will take it forward with President/Administrator.

That is nonsense. The Valencian government rules of which Orihuela comes under are very clear about opening Community pools and if any Community doesn't adhere to them which includes limiting pool users and cleaning regimes, there are big fines if you dont comply. So if the President you are taking about and the administrator opened it they must have put conditions for opening in place which can be costly. I had to close ours, then we put measures in place to open it , sadly several members of Community broke every rule so I had no option but to close it and it remains closed. Nothing has changed at the present time. Hopefully this will change soon.

Well our pool only closed for about a month, has been open now since early this year, just had a notice limiting the amount of people allowed in? Had to wear masks outside the pool.

Talk about confusing, I live in Los Altos, maybe different in Torrevieja?

There is interim Valencian government rules for 24th of May to the 7th of June in regard to Covid regulations. Nothing has changed in regard to Community pools. 75% capacity and the pool hand rails, seating areas, showers etc  must be cleaned twice a day. Hand sanitiser must be available. So as long as you can stick to the above you can open.

Hopefully thing could change on the 8th of June.
