Effective Apr. 20, face maks will not be required anymore, except in health centres, senior-citizens homes, and public transport. That is official.

So no masks in supermarkets, shops, banks and post offices either? Will end up like UK if not careful.

The covid has not suddenly disappeared so it's up to each individual whether to carry on wearing a mask. There are many people in Benidorm who are still wearing a mask at all times including myself.

This has not yet been agreed!    It is to be voted on on the 19th April.

The actual wording in the newspaper article is: The end of the indoor use of masks is coming a little closer. As laSexta has been able to find out, it will be at the council of ministers to be held on the 19th of April when its withdrawal in interior spaces will be approved. A measure that will be taken after Easter and following the advice and recommendations of the experts of the warning presentation. The minister of health herself, Carolina Darias, confirmed it shortly after. It's foreseen that the royal decree will go to the council of ministers on the 19th of April and only one day later it will be published in the BOE. It will be that same April 20 when the end of the obligation will take effect.

Me too  I'll be wearing mine whenever I am near other people until I have had my second booster   I'm at high risk   and I'm sure that plenty of others will still wear their masks in certain situations

Lets keep this in perspective people..... the vaccine does not stop the spread of COVID, but instead allows countries to flourish and diminishes the effects of it, meaning that less people will require hospitalisation and keep the mortality rates down. We need to take personal responsibility, but also learn to live with it in a normal way as possible. It isn't all doom and gloom, so don't fall for the hype. Whilst I fully understand that there will be people who class themselves as vulnerable in our communities and they will feel it necessary to wear a mask, it is a massive step forward for Spain to make this decision. Embrace it, support it and above all learn to live with it.
