My car is terribly sunbleached on bonnet and roof and I am looking for a garage which would do a good job in respraying it.  Can somebody recommend a good place please?  Approximate costs?
thank you.

Really depends on car size and what you want, full respray could easily cost 4,000 euro, spraying just the bonnet and roof it's unlikely the paint will match exactly.

If it's not an expensive car and it's primarily the lacquer that's peeled a good rub down with fine grit followed by re lacquer might suffice.

That is quite a lot.  It is a UK car on Spanish plates.  Vauxhall Astra Estate.  If the colour doesn’t match would it still pass the ITV?

Colour has nothing to do with the ITV

Sorry, to be more precise if you got only the bonnet and roof painted it would probably be noticeable against the rest of the car where the paint will have faded.

Can you put a photo up of the worst areas as it may just be the lacquer that's peeled, repairing that should only cost several hundred, quick rub down and relaquer bonnet and roof.

Hi, from the photos it looks like it's the lacquer peeling, not the paint, the paint under the lacquer looks "ok", I am assuming you want a cheap fix that will make the car more presentable, basically it's a case of rub the  lacquer off with fine grit paper then use an even finer grit over the whole area including the painted area, this should be a light rub as you do not want to sand the paint off, then it's a case of spraying with lacquer, probably 3 or 4 coats, whole process better explained at the below link. PS, clear coat is just another name for laquer.

I will have a look and see if there are any mobile services though any reasonably competent handy man could follow the instructions at the wiki link.
