Hi Forum(ers)

We are looking at the possibility of travelling through the tunnel from UK to Spain via France. Has anyone done this recently? If so, how did you make sure you passport was stamped to validate your NLV.

Thanks

Shamil

Does an NLV need validating?

Yes, you need to show the entry stamp in your passport  when you go for your TIE appointment.

Just politely ask whoever looks at your passport you want a stamp Google translate it presumably into French if your driving you won’t be stopped by the Spanish

Thank you. But I believe I will need a Spanish landing stamp. The French one will not validate the NLV.

Thanks Darro but unfortunately, I believe Schengen area entry stamp in France does.not validate the NLV as there is no way to know when we entered Spain.

Hi Shamil,

Another member is using a company called Upsticks to obtain their NLV and TIE.  I've just checked Upsticks' website and they have some useful suggestions for how to prove your arrival date in Spain:

https://upsticks.es/entry-into-spain-on-a-non-lucrative-visa-how-important-is-the-entry-stamp/

Kind regards,

Kim
