Hi Sue 61

If you have a house in the UK you might consider renting it out as that will greatly reduce your living costs here.

This is what I did and several of my female friends have done the same moving here in our mid 50s but we all owned houses here.

2 members in our club go back to the UK as carers for 2 to 3 weeks at a time and earn good money as they live in with their clients

H

Hope this helps

Since I’m not from the UK, I’m from the  US. I have no idea about working here yet. I just started looking for a job, hoping I’ll find something.

Hi Sue 61

If you own a house in the UK you could consider renting it out and that will offset a lot of your living costs

This is what I did but I already owned a house here. I retired early and lived off the rent. 2 of my female friends did the same and we all arrived here in our mid 50's

2 of our club members return to the UK as carers for 2 to 3 week periods and earn good money as the live in with their clients

Hope this might help

Hi Sue 61

I've spoken to my friend Val and she earns £74 a day as a carer. She said you may get more depending what your qualifications are in the NHS.

It costs about £300 for the training/accomodation and police checks before you can start.

The agency is called Consultus and they are in Tonbridge Kent and the phone number is 01732355231

As I live in Orihuela Costa I do not know what flats are available in La Marina

Hi there, I moved to orihuela Costa recently and would love to meet people and make friends. I’m female in my 50’s.

Would love to explore this city.

Hi,  There are lots of opportunities to meet people here - as people have mentioned there are several clubs and groups.  I know I am biased but volunteering is seriously a great way to not only meet people, make friends but also support the local community. If you would like to find out more, send me a pm and I may be able to direct you to one of the charities that suits your interests.

Best regards,

Bell
