Hi,

We are looking at moving over and wanted to know if there is anyone on the forum that lives at Camping San Javier and what the site is like generally.

Any info from anyone living there would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Anita and Pete

I know nothing about the site you ask about but my partner and I live on the outskirts of San Javier in a village called El Mirador.

We used to live in Los Altos Orihuela Costa but we wanted Spain and not " Little Britain" Costa. Bars, Pubs, Bingo beach etc.

so we now live in a Pine Cabin on a Kennels and Cattery site which is superb.

San Javier and the area is pure Spain.....people are friendly, Spanish and love it when you try to speak the language, Beaches, shopping centre, McDonalds and supermarkets are all around but it is definately Spain with its quirky rules and amazingly complex beaurocracy....love it!

Hope that helps?

Hi thanks for your reply.

We have now decided to rent in Santa Pola to give us time to see which area suits us best as its nearly as cheap to do this than pay the ground rent at mobile home sites.

So do you run the Kennels yourselves?

Hi Anita,.... We live on the site and my partner Sue helps with the dogs and cats, me occasionally but I tend to concentrate on maintainance issues and retiring!! Ha!

We nearly rented in Santa Pola but decided it was too hilly for us. However the house we looked at was fantastic and the beaches are superb... oh well. We enjoy it here so not complaining.

Good luck with your property search and let me know if you want to come over this way and maybe we can help?

Be safe.

Don and Sue

Hi Don and Sue

Sounds lovely there.  We have now found a rental in Santa Pola and it isn't at all hilly where we are which is right near the beach.

We are looking forward to coming over in the new year so lots to sort out here in UK including arrangements for our dog to come over.

Once we settle in we will definitely explore different areas and may even come your way sometime.

take care

Anita and Pete

Hi you guys..sorry for delay. We were hit by the 2nd Gota Fria the last couple of days. If you have experienced one, you will understand.

If you feel you would like to visit anytime, check out Catz & Dogs San Javier. And email a message for us. Sue and Don take care x
