Can anyone tell me why my electric bill from iberdrola under Regulatory charges, says , fee limit for gas price? As I have been charged 187€, I don't have gas

It's due to the fact that the Gas companies are out of pocket because of the price fluctuations, so the Government has stepped in to bail them out at bill payers expense. It's another complete scandal and robbery of the citizenry and the Government should be taken to court over it. Paying for a service you do not receive is fraud.

I thought this was some kind of mistake or joke ! Absolutely shocking.
My understanding is that it reflects the cost of gas to power gas turbines which in turn generate electricity.
So whether you have mains gas or not is irrelevant.
It's still means that you will not know how much your electricity bill will be, given the tax amount can change at any time.
When you start to pay it depends on if you've switched plan or when your existing plan had it's annual renewal event.

Surely it is relevant if your bill claims that your electric was produced using 100% renewable energy, yet they are charging people for gas which has not been involved in the production of their energy.
Either way you look at it, it's Governmental mandated theft. .

Hi, does this mean every electric user in Spain is being charged this even if they do not have gas installed at their premise / apartment.

After speaking with Iberdrola, that is my understanding. They advised this was the case regardless of which company supplies your electricity. The point at which you start paying it depends on when you switched tariff or your annual renewal event.
Our community electricity bill has increased from 137 a month to 500 - when comparing against the same month last year. So it's not just domestic customers.

Clearly if the government are using gas to power thier turbines....the electricity company should be picking up the bill...and I have to agree that any company or business trying that one would normally have been prosecuted for wrongful practice at the least! The government are fleecing thier own people and expats ..yet again.
