Consider 400,- as a minimum, add utilities 150,- and transport 100,- and with 30,-/day for food it all adds up to 1.200,-/mo forgetting restaurant and bar visits.

Those figures are quite likely and that total figure is about the cost of my lifestyle here. But as you mentioned that it might be a couple of years away yet you should add a little more for inflation.

This issue isn't how little you need to live on, but what minimum income Spain will require you to demonstrate to obtain legal residency after the Brexit Transition Period ends   .... in 65 days.

That number looks set to escalate dramatically relative to the current situation.

Some people are quoting 32K Euros per annum for a couple, based on the rules applied to non-EU immigrants.

This figure will (presumably) become clear in the new year.

If that were the case I'm sure Spain would not be seen as so attractive to live ,apart from climate lower cost of living was a big draw

I also understand that €32,000 per annum will be the requirement for income to gain residency as that will mirror the income required for any other non EU immigrants wanting to move to Spain.
