Best travel options on getting from la zenia/lomas de cabo roig to Orihuela town .I'm heading there for my residency appointment later this month at the police office and other than trying to get a taxi I'm looking at what other options there are.if anyone knows that is.sugestions much appreciated.

Hi
By a sheer fluke we were getting the bus from torrevieja today to la zenia boulevard and the bus was continuing to orihuela. It arrived at the Boulevard (stops where the normal bus stops that goes through villamartin)at approx 1.30pm but not sure if that suits. There is definitely a new bus route that goes from boulevard to orihuela and back four times a day-will try and find timetable for you

First class Dierdre ..I really must acquaint myself with public transport to the various areas..There's a service that runs a red and a blue line but that's only local..to the townhall and back basically .I'm actually still awaiting the appointment time so just sussing the situation just now..I think it takes an hour and half to get to orihuela by bus from la zenia which considering its for a 10 minute appointment is quite annoying but necessary I suppose.thank you.

Found it (seems to be just an hour which isn’t too bad)
Hopefully you can tie the appointment in with these times but at least it’s cheaper than taxi!

You can search for buses here https://regular.autobusing.com/info?empresa=costa-azul&locale=es - this link is for Costa Azul buses only.
The Boulevard appears as "c.c. boulevar Zenia" in the drop-down list.
There are 8 buses a day - I'm quite surprised!

Just reading your question and I’m wondering if it’s actually ORIHUELA TOWN you are supposed to go to. There is a building in the Playa Flamenca area called ORIHUELA TOWN HALL My husband had to go there to get something signed when we bought our car. There are numerous departments in it. I’d hate for you to travel all the way to Orihuela and find that you should have gone elsewhere! Hope I’m right as it would save you a wasted journey.
