In the UK the law is that a person who holds the freehold of a property also owns all of the skies above the property - although specific legislation was passed to allow aircraft. This means that if someone was carrying out a building project near your property they could not allow any part of a crane to pass over that property or they would effectively be trespassing.  Does anyone know if the same law applies in Spain?

I can't help with the actual law but it seems a bit archaic in places that need development or reformation.

In some areas where buildings are close nothing would get done if everyone stuck to the letter of the law. I imagine that the costs would spiral if a crane can't be used.

Just my thoughts.........

Thanks for bothering to reply but I am really looking for clarification on the law. It is more about agreeing permission with affected nearby properties and making sure there are safeguards from damage and injury than stopping the use of cranes.

You will probably get the correct answer by going to the town hall.
