From where? Very important this information is given as regulations vary greatly depending on the nationality of the passport you hold.

Sorry but I would think that would be virtually impossible at the moment. You would need to get a work visa which entails having a definite job offer with a contract, The bugbear is that the future employer must declare the position was offered to a Spanish or EU citizen first but that a candidate could not be found. This has to be verified by the Spanish Ministry of Labour.

The job you are looking for is not on the specialist and job shortage lists so getting that would be highly unlikely. That would be the same if you went self employed as you would have to show a shortage of skills in that department in the area you wish to live in.

It's a shame the systems have changed since UK is no longer in the EU and getting work in Spain is now extremely difficult.

Hello,

From what you have said you have accrued considerable experience over some years.  From my life experience, in my humble opinion it is unwise to listen too closely to the thoughts of others.  Find out about the different routes available to you to come to Spain.  Ask Ai initially and then speak to someone based near where you decide to settle.  Also, what are your TRANSFERABLE skills?  Aluminium windows makes one think then you can fit PVC as well??  If you cannot find an employer.  You could consider self employment.  Have you handyman skills.  Do not offer anything you cannot do well.  There are plenty of cowboys here!!  Building yourself a good reputation.  There are many ways to get your foot in the door.  Come and 👀.

Wishing you every best wishes in YOUR new adventure.  Remember there are a plethora of similar websites to this one and hopefully more people will respond to your enquiry.

Petra.

There is a Company called Crystal Windows based in Ondara who do what you do.

A couple of times they have advertised on this site for a new employee which would suggest they struggle to find someone Spanish to fill the spot.

Depending on where you decide to re-locate, it might be worth reaching out to them and see what they have available.

With Blessings
