Nice very quiet, slightly older traditional properties. Bit of a walk depending where in BL you are to bars and restaurants. Really good walk to supermarkets. I'm El Galan and walk around BL all the time with my dogs.

WE LOVE IT - but depending on where you buy it can be a bit away from shops and bars . We are within 5-10 minutes walk to the nearest commercial centre and within same distance of something like 15 bars and restaurants so if you buy near there you would be fine.. La Fuente commercial centre is a little further away but walkable ,golf courses about 5 minutes drive and beaches nearer 10 minutes drive as is La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre. Generally a quiet area unless you are too near the commercial centres. Bus service limited and doesn't run at weekends . Would strongly advise that you have a car here as probably needed for Mercadona (though they do deliver) and area classified as San Miguel de Salinas so Health Centre and Town hall are both there.
If there is anything else you would like to know just ask.

SMDS has more of a town / Spanish traditional feel to it. I was there yesterday for Tapas. My property is in El Galan/ Villamartin I like to go to SMDS for a change, but I wouldn't like to be there permanently as there isn't enough to to.

In fairness there were some Brits in the bars we were in yesterday. Not a huge amount of bars though. I was there about 5.30 and the bars in the centre and on the Ronda Oeste (Bypass road) were quiet. Not sure about buses, but I would imagine they are quite good.
