So far as I'm aware, it's up to you to place it by the bins, but I'm hoping someone else will know better than me!

Just a helpful warning that if you place it by the bins and are seen you're liable to a big fine as a friend of mine did.
Search for your town hall's email/phone number and you can arrange for it to be collected so you're not adding to all the rubbish already dumped on the streets. Torrevieja has a municipal dump where you can take it to, if you can get it there.

... which relates to Orihuela Costa, but not Torrevieja.
We were told long ago that collection here is on Fridays, but had no idea we're supposed to tell them first!

Our bin has a poster (attached) on giving info re waste collection and a telephone number to ring.
Doesn’t seem to stop the amount of utter crap that gets strewn around though!

Hi all towns have a collection service for old furniture etc. They usually operate once a fortnight. I cannot give you the number as I am in Gandia but if you get in touch with the town hall they will give you the local number for your area. A lot of people do not know of this service but we use it all the time as we have recently bought s house with lots of old things to get rid of. Best of luck
