Hiya
I am looking to move to Spain in the near future and I want to come over at Xmas to have a look at areas.
I would like to rent somewhere for 10 days from 22nd December till 1 January 2019.
There is just me and my partner.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your kind reply.
We are learning things every day. We have friends in Orihuela.
Everywhere is so expensive at this time of year and we have work constraints so can only come at this time this year.
We may go for a package holiday as the flights are so expensive.
Do you know whether Torrevieja is good for a base so we can get around by car?

They are looking for us but the flights are so expensive so we might go for a package holiday instead. We just struggling to know best to stay.

All the best flight deals for Christmas have long gone so I really do agree that a package would be best and a hire car with a sat nav is essential,
Pete is absolutely correct about the cold and the usual construction of properties but I would add damp to that. I don't know about new-builds, but DPC is practically non-existent here so for full-time living you will either need air con (expensive to buy, install and run but covers both extremes), electric heating (expensive to run), solar (hugely expensive to install) or gas central heating.
