Schengan agreement - length of stay
We are UK citizens - we have a few questions related to the length of time we can stay as tourists in Spain ( and then France). We arrived in Spain mid September with our caravan to have extended travel/holiday time in the first instance - maybe then if we liked it, to secure work teaching English.... We know that we can stay for 90 days (3 months) under the Schengan agreement
1/ If we want to stay in Spain for another 3 months (e.g. before Brexit) - do we have to apply for residencia? Does this mean we also need to apply for NIE? Do we need a permanent address? We have been staying on different caravan sites up until now... if we booked an extended stay, would a caravan site be classified as an address?
2/ If we can only stay in Spain for 90 days, we were then hoping to travel back through France for another 90 days before going back to the UK in March. We are now unsure if this is possible because it seems that the Schengan agreement treats all of the 29+ member countries as if they are ONE area - and therefore, it appears that we must 'reset' the clock and return home for 3 months before we can start to travel again?
3/ If we do want to go through the paperwork for NIE etc. - would we be advised to get a 'gestor' even though we are only likely to stay for a maximum of 6 months? What are the average costs please and can someone please recommend a gestor in the Orihuela area?
We'd be grateful for any advice
Thanks
