Sorry but I don't know about any language issues as I've never had to go to the station, just know where it is.

The local police here do speak English. However, if they forward you to the Guardia Civil at Pillar de la Horadada (hope I've spelt if right!)  they will not see you without an interpreter. You would end up there if you were reporting a robbery and need a crime number for insurance for instance.
