Has anyone had their bank account closed in the UK?
What arrangements have you made? Have you opened another UK account or transferred it into the Spanish account.

There has been several posts on various expat forums about this subject. Apparently if you cannot give a UK address for your UK account then they have accounts closed. This is all to do with the Brexit situation. Some posters have been recommending the Transferwise Borderless account where you get a UK IBAN number.

I have not had my UK Natwest account closed. They are aware I don't have a UK address.

I asked of both HSBC and Nationwide: HSBC said that they will not close our account and Nationwide advised checking their Brexit page for updates, which at the time was only showing closures in Italy. Both banks are fully aware of our Spanish addresses and that we have no UK residence.

Not all banks have done this. I have had a UK bank account for nearly 60 years, including for almost 16 years whilst I have lived in Spain, and it has not been closed, even though I do not have a UK address.
