I’m driving to our apartment in Punta Prima next month, in my van, with a plan to renovate the bathroom.  It will involve removing all the old tiles, and then a bit of plastering and fitting a new bathroom.  There are general waste bins provided by the community and I think emptied every day.  However, I don’t think it would go down too well if I filled them with by building waste !!  Can anyone tell me where I can take this waste in my van, to dispose of it properly?  I struggle to take my van to a tip in the UK as they think it’s trade waste.  I’ve no idea how it works in Spain.  Any help appreciated.  (I don’t want a skip.  Nowhere to put it).

Most towns have an EcoPark, which is effectively a recycling/waste disposal centre. Depending upon the Ajuntamiento, the opening hours may vary tremendously; they are not necessarily open 9 - 5. For instance our local facility is only open 4 days with wildly differing hours and even then, usually only for a couple of hours.

Currently also, there may be Covid related problems; we may no longer just turn up at ours, a specific appointment is mandatory and is running about a 10 day delay atm. Your best solution is to make enquiries at your local Ajuntamiento; you will also have to provide proof of local residence =- ie Padron, to prevent ‘outsiders’ just dumping stuff.
