Hi just a quick question , my wife who is Irish has been granted residency and given a small green credit card sized document . I who am a U.K. citizen am waiting to be issued with an EU family member card. Does my wife need to (or is it recommended)to exchange this green document for a biometric TIE

Card

Thanks

No the green residencia is the correct document for someone  from the EU.

Thank you, it’s a rather flimsy document but we’re we’re advised not to laminate it

Hi Alan mac,

When I had a green residency card, the original was laminated on the back, but not the front.  I took a coloured photocopy of it and laminated both sides to carry in my purse, keeping the original safely at home.

Kind regards,

Kim
