Can anyone please tell me a good store to buy a portable air conditioning unit for bedroom.  Needs to be quiet. I am not far from la zenia boulevard so hoping a shop there.  Also any idea of likely cost.  Thank you for any help

I have one used for 90,- However, the noise is absolutely not suiitable for use in bedrooms. Stay away from condenser units as sold on TV. If still interested come and see it working near Fortuna. (PM please)

I had a portable Air Con unit but sold it after 2 weeks because of the noise and vibration through the floor tiles. The worse thing about a portable unit is the big diameter exhaust pipe that needs to be put out of a partially open door or window which really defeats the whole idea.....

We find having the windows wide open and running the ceiling fan, which has a timer or you can run it all night, is perfectly adequate. We don’t use a/c, which, incidentally, I believe is not good for you to run in the bedroom overnight.
