Hi, I have recently moved to Pego, I have 2 dogs who are used to have a long walk each day off lead. I haven't found any areas yet that would be safe to let them off the lead.

Does anyone know of any areas in or near Pego?

Thank you

Take the Oliva road. Straight past the BP station, before the road bends to the left there is a turning right signed for the beach, from memory Marjal too. Follow that until you come to a junction on a bend and turn left. Follow the road until you come to a wooden fenced picnic area with a few parking spaces and park there.

You can take the road up the hill to the Muntanyeta Verde for the view but you return the same way. Alternatively, follow the unmade road and you can return the other side of the river in front of the car park. You can also go deeper into the park for a longer walk or go round to the chiringuito for refreshments before walking back.

These roads are used by cars and cycles but not much, I've never had a problem with my dog off lead here.
