Electric car charging

I bought a Skoda Elroq 100% electric car in January. I had solar panels and a car charger installed at the house a couple of months before. So far, I have only recharged the car at home.
My question for electric car owners is, if and when I have to resort to public charging, on a long trip for example, which chargers do you recommend? Are there any discount schemes or membership cards on offer for any particular network? Who is cheapest? If I pluck up the courage to drive all the way back to the UK, which chargers do you recommend in France?
