Bees
We appear to have a bee hive in the eaves of our house. Does anybody have any advice on whom to contact to remove them please?
Thanks.
Andrew.

Last week a friend had a swarm of bees take up residence at her house. She contacted the local police and they got a bee-keeper to come and remove them. I don't know if that's the norm everywhere, but worth asking.

Hopefully the bee's will not be harmed when they get removed as they are vital little buggers to our food chain, without bee's to carry out
My Farmer friend now has 12 hives in his fruit orchard, each large hive contains approx 60,000 bee's (not that I have counted them) which he also rents out to other local farmers I have never been stung in the 5 years we have lived here, I often help John (the bee owner) when it's time for honey is to be harvested or carrying out health checks on the bee's, I also look after the bee hives when John goes on holiday. I have never been bothered or stung by a Bee. My reward for doing this is some of the tastiest honey ever.
Now Wasp's and Hornets are another story I have helped dispose of 1 hornet nest and 2 wasp nests , but have only done so wearing a full anti-sting suit. It is not a job for the general public should take on, as the wasps and hornets will swarm out a try to sting you, you can take all the precautions you like but sooner or latter believe me you will get stung so it is best to get a professional pest control company to carry out this. .
