We have recently bought a property in Pego and would welcome some general advice, living there, how to link up with ex Pats... paying utilities, and where to find good trades people as we need to get connected ..ie TV/internet... and particularly in need of someone to look at guttering to house. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Pervinder

Welcome to Pego! You have made a great choice. We have lived here permanently for 7 years and as they say time flies when you are enjoying yourself.  Bar Casino is a great place to meet expats.  With regard to internet, I would strongly recommend Tramuntanet, offering fibre optic.

We own a Property Services Company here in Pego and I have sent you a PM with our details.  We also advertise on this forum!

Hope this helps and please feel free to ask us anything else.

Best regards

Steph

Hi Conor

My advice would be approach with caution.  I am sure it is a fantastic property, but I believe that you will not be able to insure it, as a property needs to be no less than a kilometre from another, but I stand corrected if the laws have changed.  We looked after a remote property before, which was broken into, on numerous occasions and could not be insured

As we do not have an off road vehicle, property checking would be an issue, but we could get our heads together, to come up with a solution.

Sorry if I sound negative but would prefer to give a honest opinion based on our experience of living here for the last 7 years.

If you want to send a Private message we could then hook up by email as well.

All the best

Steph
