Hi guys I'm  English and my partner is French we have been coming to the area for a few years now on Holliday's and like the area a lot,

I have seen a townhouse in the streets of Pego for sale at a good price. I just wanted to know are there any other ex Pat's English or French living in the older part of Pego ?

Also as it would be a holiday home bearing in mind the streets are very close without outside parking how safe is it around is breaking in the house and car ect

Can anyone advise

Many thanks

Hi

We live in Pego, it is wonderful, and have lived here for 4 years.  What street is the the house you are looking at?

We bought a townhouse in Pego in 2015. We love it!

I can reassure you that the town is very safe and a lovely place to live. We currently use our house as a holiday home and have been visiting every couple of months but we intend to live there more permanently when we retire.

The off road parking is plentiful and we invariably get a spot within easy walking distance of the house.

Do let me know if I can be of any further help.

Andrew.

Hi

Im off to pego to look at village houses. As it does seem a nice place and fits our budget. We are a family of 3 plus 2 dogs.

Love to hear how you get on and maybe meet for a beer if we cross paths at same time.

We want a town feel so we can walk for tapas and play with little one, dog walks, but be close to the sea for day trips. Pego seems to fit that bill.

Kind Regards

Craig

Pego is great, but be very careful where you buy.  There are areas where gypsies have taken over vacant properties.  If it is cheap, and a townhouse, chances are, it is one of these areas.

Hi everyone, I saw the word Gypsy and had to comment, as a family we have been coming to Pego for 12 years, we actually own a lovely town house in one of those so called Gypsy streets.

I have to say we have never had any problems what so ever, yes they like a little party and loud music, probably just like any neighbour or street in the U.K.

Pego is a lovely town, regardless of the street, I always say treat your neighbour like you would like to treated and you cannot go wrong, any were.

In the 12 years we have been in Pego, we have not heard of any properties being broken into, we have heard of 2 empty/abandoned properties being taken over by a gypsy family, but the town hall put that right within a few days and bricked it up.

There are some amazing property bargains to be had in this lovely traditional town and you cannot put a price on the weather.

Good luck to anyone joining the lovely Pego family.

Hello

We just completed in mid April on a town house in Pego and could not be happier.  Everything is in walking distance and great selection of bars and restaurants and shops all within walking distance.  We have never had any problems finding parking close by and I would not be concerned in leaving your car parked up.

Good luck with the house search.  Happy to share our experiences.  Just PM if you want any more info.

Paul
