Hi Alison, I'm actually very loathe to give recommendations in case things go wrong for the other person but I guarantee you that's the price I pay. What I suggest is that you phone or email the long established asesores in the area and ask them how much they charge. My friend pays twice as much as me in Orihuela Costa but doesn't want to change. 🙄 So sorry to be unhelpful about this.

If you are married or have a civil partnership and your partners earnings or pension is less than yours, you may be able to claim the married allowance. Your partner would need to claim it not you but obviously, you would need to supply some of the details. What it does is offset some of your tax onto your partners' tax code. If they don't pay any tax, you may not have to pay any yourself depending on both of your circumstances.
My wife claimed it last year and neither of us now pay any tax. She telephoned the tax office and it was sorted within minutes and we received a letter within two weeks saying that my due tax payment had been scrapped and I no longer needed to send in a tax form.
