Does anybody know how to Spanish register a small UK trailer . It is less than 750kg so it does not require an ITV,.

I kneed a certificate of use to allow me to tow this behind my Spanish registered car. TIA

It will require at least an initial ITV and that's the problem, a UK trailer will not have the paperwork required to submit it for that nor will you likekly be able to get it from the manufacturer.

No need for paperwork it can be got round in the following manner .

It is taken usually to Murcia for inspection and approval , if ok all id and data plates [ if fitted ] are removed and a tarjeta and  new spec sheet are issued , you also get a strip of metal with a new serial no which you have to get welded to the drawbar in a prominent place .…!!!

Have had  3 English trailers done [ 2 warriors [ chinese made ] and a blueline  boxtrailer along with  2 Belgian and a German trailer all done this way , breaks your heart to see them destroy the data plates and grind all the nos off the polished alloy slatted sides on the german trailer , leaving grinder marks all over it ..!!

Now I'm really confused! Reading on the N332 site https://n332.es/2019/03/03/towing-a-uk-trailer-abroad-the-rules-are-changing/ this seems to say that if the trailer is under 750 kg, for private purposes and used only in Spain then it doesn't require any paperwork. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the info, any idea of the cost of this inspection and issue of plates and spec?

Sorry I thought it was a different member.

Cheaper to buy a small trailer already registered.

Thanks Trevor
