Im in Pilar De La Horadada and just received my first water charge to my bank account but no bill yet

I only paid for the metre connection 3 weeks ago but am surprised with the size of the charge i have received

any help on what i would expect to pay on the first bill

I had paid a fee for the connection of Water & Electricity surely this should include Metres

From just to start the contracts and of course connection

Myself and several others have paid €450 (in cash at the request of the builder) for the utilities to be connected on a new development .

I've just received my first bill which consisted of 148.02 € for the meter and a further 17.99 € for electric consumption (1 week) a neighbour has received the same bill plus an additional bill for 217€ for a water meter!

I spoke with the developer who informed me that the 450 was for administration costs. Feeling that this wad excessive I've looked into it further and according to one site it is illegal for a developer to charge for meters and connections of utilities they should be included in the price of the property.

I am now going to get legal advice to ensure that the web sites information is correct and up to date.

Hi

In our contract it states that we are responsible for utilities costs installation etc

"Recruitment costs for water, Electricity, Gas etc with corresponding utility companies and their respective bulletins installation will be paid by the buyer"

I'm off course not very happy with this

Hi

Thanks for the input I'll check my contract in any event I think it's somewhat of a liberty considering the price of the property.

Once again thanks for the responce.

Even so if it's illegal for them to charge theres an argument that it should not be included in a contract.?

Hi All,

Reading the various posts regarding utilities and their costs, I thought I would ask if any member of the forum has purchased any of the new build properties by Okey Viviendas in Pilar.

It would be interesting to hear from anyone already moved in and know supplier of electricity especially and the potencia the developer start off with.

Thanks

Larr
