Hi

We live in Pilar, are both 72 and don't have a car

Could anyone tell us please whether we can get a bus taking us near or to the Tesco in Torrevieja from Pilar de la Horadada, for Christmas shopping

Many thanks

Bill

The only 'tesco' I know is by Quesada, I presume that you would need a bus to. Torrevieja then one to Quesada. It sells more or less what Overseas/Iceland sells.  Doesn't have clothes, other stuff like in the uk

Hello

As Sue222 says, there isn't a Tesco store in Torrevieja -( hardly anyone  in Iceland Overseas shop these days ) and even if you got to Torrevieja - no buses actually passes that store

. Also, there  are no buses to the Quesada area so it would be taxis all the way mostly, & for what they sell, not worth the effort or expense.

Cheers

Hi,

Assuming it's still open there is a British Iceland Overseas shop in Lomas de Cabo Roig that would be the nearest to you.

As I live on the other side of Torrevieja I can't help with bus information. Try Googling  your bus timetable Pilar de la Horadada to Cabo Roig.

Good luck :-)

Having shopped in both The Food Co and Overseas, there is quite a bit of difference between the two stores. Whilst  stock similar products, the Iceland Store has a bigger range of frozen goods, whereas the Tesco store is much better for dry goods, as it stocks a much bigger range than Iceland. Tesco is handy is you’re looking for a specific ingredient for a recipe you’ve used for years.

Although they do have a wide range of goods available in both stores, the prices can vary enormously.  I bought something from Iceland for 2€, the same product was 3€ in Tesco
