Certification
There is an additional certificate you can download. All this will show is when and where you were vaccinated, what type of vaccine and your all important batch numbers. I honestly can’t see it being any help to you as it is has no bar codes or qr codes that can be read.
You can download the certificate from the link underneath, in exactly the same way as you did for your EU Digital Covid Certificate.

When I said the QR Code is gobbledegook I meant that the QR codes can only be read by specific software for reading covid certification from which ever country the certificate was issued whether it’s the U.K. or Spain.
As you probably realise the difference between the two countries is that the U.K. issues a QR code for each jab, whereas the EU have determined that you only get a code when you are fully jabbed.
When the EU code is scanned by an approved covid code reader it shows your name, date of birth and that you had 2/2 of which vaccine you had and the date of your last vaccine. I know it’s not helping you much, but it’s got to be the fault of the official who have outdated software if they’re saying they can’t read codes.
The bars and restaurants here have no problems reading QR codes from either the EU or from the U.K. The app they are using to allow people into the bars here, will not however read the barcoded letter issued by the NHS
You know that the code on your EUDCC is good, because you’ve used it to travel into the U.K.
When the bars here scan your code, it is not kept at all, they are basically just using an approved covid QR reader, is it going to be different in the U.K.
Have these gp alliance people told you that they are retaining codes for track and trace purposes? But in saying that, the QR code does not hold address or contact number details.
Why does your EUDCC have to be updated onto the NHS system?
HAve you asked in any of the venues to see if they know what the system will be, when entry is by covid certificate only.
My sister in law in the U.K. goes to the theatre on a regular basis. Since the theatres reopened she has had to show her covid certificate to gain entry, but the theatres don’t scan the QR code, they just check you’ve got a certificate.
